Save on Prison Calls
Helping you beat the high cost of collect calls!

What Do I Need?
You need a local phone number to the prison

Why?  The further away your phone number's origination is from the institution, the more the call will cost. If the number being called collect is a local number or a number close in distance to the institution, the rates will be considerably less in most instances.

To get a local phone number anywhere in the Continental United States and save on collect calls from a correctional institution, all you need is:

  • Someone in a correctional facility that you want to talk to.
  • A phone number that will be a local call from the correctional facility
  • A credit card, debit card, or pre-paid credit card with a U.S. billing address
  • A prepaid (advance pay) collect call account with the institution's phone carrier (i.e. Globaltel Link, GTL, MCI, Correctional Billing Services, CBS, PCS, etc.)
  • Please read this entire website to fully understand how to make this work. You will save a lot of money on your collect calls using this plan.

What if I don't have a computer?

We offer plans where a computer or internet access is not required for receiving incoming calls. You will need access to a computer to manage your account.

Do I need a broadband, high-speed internet connection to use this service?

You do not  need an internet connection to use this phone service if you will be using it for receiving incoming calls only. You will be able to link your new local phone number to your existing home phone or cell phone number to receive incoming calls only.

A broadband connection is recommended if you intend on using this service on your PC to make outgoing calls. This is an optional feature which will give you unlimited long distance calling using your PC and the Softphone software (included with your service.)

Now anyone can have a local phone number for inmates in a correctional facility to call. Using this service, it is not possible to accept collect calls directly; therefore, you must have a prepaid collect call account set up for the new local phone number. You can choose a phone number practically anywhere in the Continental United States. You can manage your account online and link the new local phone number to any other phone, including a cell phone, in the United States. The monthly fee for the local phone number will pay for itself many times over in savings on collect calls, especially if you are in a different state than the institution.
